Hehe, it's an old (but AWESOME) SNES RPG that also had other games on the NES and Game Boy Advance, with VERY bizarre enemies (The New Age Retro Hippie, the Abstract Painting, the Walking Gas Pump). There IS a walrus enemy in Mother 3 (mix of walrus and monkey, the "monkalrus"), but I like your beast far better. :)
And there IS a novel out now called "Space Walrus" that proves that walruses can go into space... ;)
