This was the first of two stories I wrote for submission to the Midwest FurFest convention book. I had a couple of ideas for their theme of “Critters on the High Seas,” and I went in different directions with the two stories.

This scene was fun to play with. The captain was entertaining, but the cook ended up being really endearing too. I borrowed the title from an old Jimmy Buffett song.
