This is this year's first episode of The Frozen North, a comic strip I do for my school's newspaper. Episodes are published monthly with the print issue; we only release of printed magazine a month because we lost a ton of our funding so all our content is online to save on printing and distribution costs. The plus side is that now I only have to worry about a monthly deadline, instead of chugging out a strip every week.
My partner in illustration, Kelsey, is responsible for the magnificent coloring here. We were under pressure for this episode, so it's not as detailed as it could be/has been, but future episodes will look positively glorious because she works magic with GIMP. Check out her arts on her deviantART page here: http://mysocks4u.deviantart.com/

Eh, it's really not too big of a deal only having to worry about it once a month. Plus, it turns out I work marvelously under pressure. XD Still, though, it can be tough having to stick to a deadline when you have no inspiration and it's a week before it's due. It's rewarding though to see something you made published in print though. Definitely something you should try if art and cartoons is something you enjoy doing, if for no other reason than for the experience, you know?
Yeah, figures one month is a good pace. I guess pressure is a good thing, but... I don't really need more of it, SERIOUSLY.
Whatever, it is something I really want to try. I dream of doing more of this kind, but my heart is filled with fear. Even without this it already feels like I can't keep up with learning, so I would surely insist on giving me a "buffer", know that term?
