You can also use a harder lead of pencil. I haven't drawn in years, but a 5H was my absolute favorite pencil, as I could still see the lines clearly, but they were light enough to erase easily. Having a range from 9B to 9H was one of the best things I did for myself and my doodles. Solved this problem instantly.
You have no idea how much I'm blushing because of this compliment coming from you, the resident king of setting up a scene and going through the blood, sweat, and tears it takes to do proper perspective. I'm being totally and completely honest here.

It's really neat the way you have the perspective lines in there. Was that difficult to get the perspective just right, or was it cooperative and came about easily? Do you use guides like that very often?..........I'm making a nuisance of myself with these questions, aren't I? ^^;
