Ssssso. You guys remember those casting creatures I had? the ones that I very suddenly stopped drawing? Yyyyyeah. I got mega discouraged because apparently I'm very bad at not over thinking things. xD I left them alone for months on end... and really, i think that might have been what they needed.

I've been on a dragon kick as of late and... looking back on the casting creature's past designs, I felt like they were too dragon like and weren't really as fun as they used to be. So, now we have this redesign. They are more equine like, and I'm thinking of cutting out their wings all together. Their marks are gone and replaced with a new purpose. See the huge disk floating there? It takes in raw magical energy and stores it in their body (just as their marks did before) but now, should they wish to release it, they can do one of two things.... They can create an almost... Ethereal weapon for themselves, or they can do such for someone else.

When using/creating their weapon, their "shield" (as I've taken to calling the disk) will disappear, leaving them vulnerable but armed.

"But Kaz, what use does a horse(thing) have for a weapon? they don't have hands! Can they wield it with their minds? If so, doesn't it look dumb?"

Why, yes it would look dumb. See, in their more animalistic form, they can only produce the weapon for someone else. BUT they do have a human form (which does just look like a normal human this time) in which they can wield their own weapon. Their shield does not show up in their human form and they are incapable of taking in magical energies while in said form.

I'm toying with the idea of keeping their eyes blank in a human form.... And I also became (belatedly) aware of how much they look like airu's Sents with the whole nose thing. WHOOPSE. i may change that. but i kind of like it. IDK
