I watched a little too much matrix over the weekend, saw Mouse's guns and fell in love. A pair of cam-operated, electricity driven automatic shotguns. It was enough to make me fetch the laptop and get to work, these model of it has a few improvements.
1.) Forward grip
2.) Rails on the sides
3.) Non-rifle looking scope, has a reddot instead.
I believe that 'if' you don't try to go akimbo you should have fairly accurate shots, but lets face it, shotguns akimbo is just as inevitable as the US getting an idiot elected into office soon, and thats a certainty since both candidates are just going to fuck the US up more regardless of what they 'promise.'
Polotics aside, the other difference between Mouse's shotties and this model is the volume of ammo available. Mouse's held 25 rounds, mine holds 24. Not sure 'where' that 25th round came from, but hell if I'm going to wrack my brain over it. 24 rounds, go akimbo and you have 48, put a damn laser sight on a rail and you WILL hit something, maybe.

Enjoy~
PS: Curious, if I model a gun based off a gun from a movie and its 75% or so different compared to the movie gun can I claim ownership since its not 'exactly' the same or do I not get to? Just curious was debating a pair of shotties like these getting used at some point by a character. >3>

I covered that in the next image.
I pretty much assumed the original gun from the movie had a face plate on the back of the cylinder that was removed to allow for extracting spent shells and replacing them with unshot ones.
Would likely require the shooter to go into cover for a while to try and reload, depending on how well trained they are in its use could be a minute before they're back in action or longer.
I'll have to tinker with some ideas on reloading methods.

No no. its not a 'drum' its a clyinder.

I modeled this shotty, to the best of my ability, to be nearly identical to the one in the images in that link. During the scene where he shoots them both NO shells are seen being ejected. The cylinder(s) retain their spent shells until they need to be manually extracted. Plus 'where' would i put an ejection port on a gun that has the hand dominating the bottom (no 'drop out' port), the top is dominated by a sight so no top enject and both sides are dominated by the clyinder rotating.
Simply put the stated reloading method i've mentioned twice before is easily the ONLY way that the weapon can be unloaded and reloaded. Its not 'ideal' but there's alot of guns out there with long ass reload times. Look at belt feed weapons, they're awesome but they're a nightmare to reload during combat.

If the shell is being fired in the cylinder how is it going to fly out of it from behind it?
Not going to just leave it as I said it'd operate and try and hound me into doing it your way instead? I don't take being pressured into doing things I don't want to do very well. I'm satisfied with the platform, I'm content with how it'd reload and function, I'm not changing anything unless I feel like it.
I'd greatly appreciate it that you accept that I've worked this model my way and I'm not willing to bend over backwards for anyone that doesn't like how I made something look or function.

The .50 BMG rounds that were also in the case threw people off a bit, he was weilding a pair of 12 gauge shotties, though you would think with a pair of shotguns he'd have at least managed to kill one or two people prior to getting gunned down. Narrow doorway, shotguns have spread, he just failed at using shotguns akimbo I guess.
