Considering there's only 2 in Existence in the United Nations (M6A1 and the MiS-35), since they were too Expensive to build and were a nightmare to maintain, they were retired to duty as heavy lift vehicles. The M6A1 was recommissioned to go with an expeditionary unit to explore a habital world discovered after a probe traveled through a wormhole. The only version that was made was a command version to communicate to the M4A1 Medium Armored Strike Suit (quadropedal) and the M3A1 Light Armored Wheeled Strike Suit. The only mass produced units were the M3A1's and a limited number of M4A1's.
Now that sounds a little more interesting than the usual plots. :D
Normal people in normal superweapons relying on their Skill as actual pilots rather than relying on dumb luck and a stupily powerful mecha that no-one else seems capable of piloting.

Original series, well most of it. I lost interest when they started talking about new types. The One Year War side stories are fun. I liked 0083 but the I shield thing was gay even in the last few episodes of tos when it was first introduced. I like stories to be believable to quite possible.
