When I first got the idea to draw this, I wondered what the heck I was thinking: why would an anthro bird need to ride a flying dragon, when it can fly on its own? But then I realized: people can walk on their own, and they still ride horses sometimes. Maybe the bird got tired. Maybe the dragon can fly farther and higher and faster than the bird can. Or maybe they just like spending time together.
