So this guy hit me like a ton of bricks earlier this morning and I couldn't get him out of my head until I drew him and it's taken me probably longer to get his name out of him than it did to draw him.

It doesn't mean anything in actual translation--but it's a sort of.. hashed up, mixed up combination of several words--ultimately meaning (at least so he says) Unstoppable Phoenix or Phoenix Fury.. "Vox" is his nickname, because he doesn't like using his full first name--and mainly, because he is rivals/friends with my other turian, Nox. And they are similar in appearance. I'm not entirely sure if they are related or not yet... I don't think they are. But they are definitely connected.

Volc (prounounced Volk, like yolk) is another he sometimes uses--but the full pronunciation is vol-SEE-dus PROCKS-iv.

I made up his markings on the fly--it's two colors, the darker color being semi-translucent almost. I was inspired by many other existing turian markings + certain decorative decals on cars/machinery and other turian OCs I'm sure subconsciously.


Also--I know this description is getting long, but this is another example for the sketch commissions I mentioned in my most recent journal. This was 1 hour roughly start to finish, and that's about how I want to do them, so.. yeah.
