7 1/2 gauge model of the Southern Railway #1396. The locomotive that was normally used to pull the Southern Railways Crescent Limited. Detailed down to the last bolt including a miniature version of the bronze eagle that graced the headlights of locomotives on Southerns best trains.

I looked at th photo a bit more closely and I could see that it was indeed a 4-6-2 configuration. I guess I saw the extra bogies of the engineer's tender and thought it was an extra set of wheels. There's a similar miniature locomotive on display in the Sacramento Railway Museum, and of course the live steam engineers on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch line in the UK are fond of Pacifics.
