The crossing gate actually doesn't protect any tracks, it's used as a gate to block the driveway next to the yard. Theres two push buttons rigged up to lower and raise the gate from a truck window depending on if you're leaving or coming in.
However the group does have the bodies of two more gates on sight which will eventually be used to protect a crossing that will connect this railroad to a private line a property owner across the street is planning to build.
