Gonna try to at least do one of these a day. (even if they suck. Like this one. ._.)
I know I've tried this before, but never really stuck with it.
So, I'mma try harder this time and at least draw one thing, and post it, a day.
(I'm already a bit late on this, I know. v.v )
So, today is a speed paint of a random landscape.
I know my composition stinks. So does my field of view, my perspective, my lighting, my shading, and a whole bunch of other stuff...
But, this was my first time painting something out of nothing and starting with no ides of what I was gonna do..
Done in SAI.. Shoulda used Photoshop or something. .-.
Don't pay attention to the Taco. >.>

Looks good and surreal, although I think not outlining the buildings there on the left and slightly de-focusing the fence up on the ledge a little would help make them fit the scene a little better. Overall, I like the colors and lighting. It looks very much like an oil or acrylic painting. As for the taco, it fits the picture. Such surreal and silly touches can turn a run-of-the-mill practice painting to something worth another look.
Eh, some careful smudging can probably fudge it. All part of the learning curve. Personally, I wouldn't call it a mistake. Can one really make mistakes when they're experimenting? In a sense, experiments are sometimes supposed to see what happens when we do it "wrong".
On another note...
