Apart from the obvious "item relocation" talents, Glot's gift could help earn money as a scribe. As for other jobs, I'll bet employers around here judge a book by its cover; the right species could open doors.

I am sorry to say, but judging by her symptoms. A layman's guess is she may be past the point of treatment at your world's current tech level. That is not to say there might be a magic spell you can get a hold of to do so. If you had even the basic tools of a chemist maybe you could make some basic anti-biotic for her.
