Everyone back in Drackamara was afraid of magic, though. There were all sorts of laws against it… Which made it pretty hard to learn.
I mean really. A few sorcerers burn down a few blocks, and everyone gets paranoid. I think they were scared that someone would summon another genius of flame and vaporize the city.

That's the problem with sorcerers. They keep going for the genii of Flame and Storm and Pestilence and stuff like that. If they'd just stick to genii of Cake and Happiness, they'd live a lot longer.
