My adorable fridge monster, right now sitting behind the computer table and resting from the epic quest for willing ladies. That guy is huge, even for a T. atrica.

Nice ^^ i remember that hater hehe. Hes is a big one. your like me, i let spiders roam free in my home, but i jelly because i only get a few small common house spiders, One reason i miss places like Texas hehe But its ok, i got Asuma now ^^, poor guy wants out but i have to get to work v.v
To be honest, I do not know who that hater is, but considering stupid comments come on spider pictures on DA and FA alike, I do put up such descriptions wheneve uploading spider pictures, especially in the case of such large, lanky and hairy guys.
We don't have any really large spiders in Northern Germany, either, this is pretty much the largest they can get.

Ooooh, he's BEAUTIFUL. I can't honestly see how people find them creepy. They are beautiful in their very existence as the pinnacle of predators.
There are tarantulas where I live, as well as scorpions, whipspiders, and other like them. I'd keep them as pets, but my mother's a bit of an arachnophobe, so I settle with setting them free outdoors somewhere rocky, where they'll eat happily.
Again, amazing roommate you have there.

Maybe it's too tightly sealed for them. I have Spermophora literally everywhere, with hardly any of the other typical house spiders. And yes, they do good work of keeping fruit fly populations in check, especially orb weavers.
He is massive. He was already big as a subadult, but after the last molt...well, he ate lots of insects I would like less crawling around my apartment.

Yep, and a Northerner (WI) So basically, we don't have many insects or snakes or anything in general
But I'm happy we don't have brown recluses... god those things scare me. Even more than widows, for obvious reasons. I love spiders, just not the kind that will kill me
Wolf spiders are awesome though, I try to keep a good deal of them around

Nevertheless, spiders are really not interested in biting anyone, because producing venom costs them a lot of energy. The few times I got bitten by spiders it was because they were in a panic from near-drowning or being harassed in their shelter webs (had to remove one from the ceiling once).
