"I do not like the Cone of Shame..."
Seriously, he really hates it. :(
This is my new dog. Nobody will ever replace Ozzy, but Bogey here really is nice, and I'll learn to love him just as much.
Had to get him fixed the other day, he was very unhappy about it. While wearing this cone, he was literally paralyzed. He refused to move, because in his doggy mind, if he couldn't see his own body, it didn't exist, and therefore, he was just a disembodied head. Hence, he was too scared to try and move even an inch.
He's okay now though. We got him one of those "donuts" so he has peripheral vision. Same effect, but without the total humiliation. He's much happier now.

Awww poor dear...I feel his pain and shame. I did that to a cat of mine. He was bound determined to make himself the most hated thing in the house till the collar was removed.. (had gotten a really nasty burn on his hind leg so le cone to keep him from licking) it was sad seeing the lil guy be so obnoxious with the cone on. Once it was removed..heh..cocky and stuck up lil snot he was again.
