The first thing Zeryx saw after he had succumbed to the ice was another dot of light, far away. "Ugh... am I back in the cave...?" he thought to himself, but another point of light appeared, and another. Shaking his head to clear his vision, he sat up. He was still on the rock that he had collapsed on earlier. How had he not died from the cold? Truly this was a vicious place, and he was still cold. The points of light were stars, and the forest around him felt devoid of life and sound. Just a bitter chill that was still ever present. He was still alone.
"Isaac??" Zeryx called out, wondering if he could coax the bull to appear. "Isaac, please! Come back!" There was no answer. Even if the bull mocked his every move, he felt like he would've been overjoyed to see anyone, anything appear in that snowfield.
Laying back, the sheep felt exhausted, his entire body heavy. Gazing up at the stars made him feel small; insignificant. How did people go on with their lives once they realized that nothing they did had much of an impact? Once everything lost meaning, the sheep had lost the will to live for the sake of living. But out here, there was nothing to have meaning; a simple world, if cold.
Suddenly and silently, splashes of color filled the stargazing ram's vision; brilliant hues of green, blue and purple sundered the otherwise black starry sky. "What..." A brilliant aurora filled the sky, dancing as if it were a living entity. Ribbons of color ebbing and flowing into one another. It grew larger and larger, making the ram sit up.
It was then that he noticed that someone or something was walking towards him. "Who's there..?!" It didn't look like Isaac....the figure didn't have horns, but was all blurry and white, much like the snow it was approaching him on. It had a long elegant tail, and as menacing as Isaac's presence felt, this strange apparition felt almost peaceful.
The figure didn't respond, and as it drew closer, the ram felt like he could look directly at it; but it seemed like a blurry equine. Backing up, frightened, the sheep bleated softly "Don't hurt me..." under his breath.
The figure seemed to smile, and it looked like it reached skywards, plucking a piece of the aurora from the sky, turning it into a long blue scarf. The figure layed the scarf on the shivering ram's shoulders with loving care, then wordlessly walked away just it came. The figure vanished on the horizon, and the sky once again turned black, leaving a stunned sheep behind.
"W-what..." Zeryx instinctively drew the scarf around him, sitting up, completely unable to process what had just happened despite having bulls around that come and go as they please. "T-thank you..." Zeryx felt a strange warmth filling him, as if that one scarf would stave off even the fiercest of winter winds all by itself. He lowered his head, unsure of what it meant. "What do I do now, though?..." the ram pondered. There was nowhere to go, and yet he felt a renewed sense of hope. Snow started to fall as the clouds moved in to cover the stars, and the sheep ran his hands across the blue fabric wrapped around his neck. He would think of an answer; to find his own meaning, and find a way to keep on going...

So it did end happily. I'm glad.
Once again, beautiful. The music means so much more while reading the story. You've achieved what I have only imagined in my thoughts, a story soundtrack, to match what is being read. Not only that, but this merging of story and song succeeds so flawlessly because it is not trying to be anything more than it is. No need to be epic, violent, or sexual, yet traces of those subjects still manage to wind into the fabric of the story.
A recording of the story being read with accompanying tracks would be amazing.

Nope... this is part 10. Part 11: A Second Chance (Happily Ever After) is what you are looking for. :)
