This is the work in progress version of the Sirius Map. I have yet to apply the labels and such.
Should I go with a more old-fashioned style map (think Lord of the Rings), or should I stick with this topographical one? I do intend to make a supplementary political map that will be easier to read as far as the boundaries, cities, towns, roads, and the like. This is not the finished version, as I need to do a little cleaning up, and some line-color changes so the rivers are not so overpowering.

Don't forget, it doesn't have to be hot for there to be a desert, it just has to be dry. It simply rarely rains there. I am sure there are meteorlogical reasons that those areas would still get plenty of rain, but this is a fantasy story. Maybe magical rules persist. The desert on the east continent is the stereotypical hot desert.
