Germaine has a big fat potatoguy living out in the garden. She says his stomach refines stuff for her sciencey-stuff but all he ever really seems to do it sit around in the garden and occasionally wander around.

The deal they made is he gets skin-scrootches always every day, but it's usually Strawberry who has to do the scrootching, and listen to all the exciting stories he has. He'd rather be scrubbing the floor. At least that doesn't talk.

potatoguys are one of  AraElkins' halves of the setting and are without a doubt the best race in the entire thing

I think I made the potatoguy a bit too big but that is what happens when you live life in the fast lane. strawberry is crouching a bit anyhow
