Long time since I posted anything so I thought I'd put some sketches together. I did these this semester, probably all during the same day considering I think they were all on the same page of notes.

Here we have some rough sketches of my gargoyle Lemur character, Maki.

As I mentioned before she's got a bit of a crush on  MommySpike 's Mowson, a gargoyle who was born and raised on the continent of Antarctica. That's the other gargoyle int the two lower sketches.

In the sketch on the lower left I tried to draw her hiding behind a brick wall as Mowson and Graeme (son of the canon gargoyle character Brooklyn) walk by. I tried to catch Mowson in a laugh there... kind of worked.

The sketch next to the hiding sketch is one of what I thought might happen should Maki and Mowson get together. I know she's agree to go to Antarctica with him and could so see her bundling up heavily for the first few years as despite the fact that she is totally furry unlike Mowson she is from much much much warmer climates. I can see Mowson at first teasing her at being so bundled up and then wrapping her tail around herself to try and get warmer... though I can also seem him after words wrapping his own wings around her to keep her warm... and give him a reason to get close. :D

All of these sketches I was working from memory so any wrong details in my sketches of Mowson are because of that. Anything I may have drawn wrong in my own character is because I'm still working on getting her looks down so that I can remember what she looks like from memory. And let me tell you remembering how to draw a ring-tail lemur in the beginning is very hard when you don't have a reference to check back on.
