This is the latest addition to my menagerie, which currently stands at two cats, two snakes, and one boyfriend.
He is a corn snake of indeterminate gender ("he" being used simply because calling the snake "it" all the time just doesn't seem right. "It" is for inanimate objects, not for pets.) He's not a morph or any special mutation, he's just an extremely pretty normal snake.
The fellow I got him from told me he was actually a yearling, but had been a picky eater as a hatching, and so ended up something of a runt compared to his year-mates. He is quite tiny, though he's nearly as long as Anthony, just very skinny. He's currently residing in Anthony's feeding dish, until I can get to the store tomorrow and get a proper tank for him.
He hasn't got a name yet, I am very picky about naming my pets, so I'm still thinking of one. Nothing good has come to mind yet. Feel free to offer suggestions.
Anybody offering suggestions on snake husbandry will be whapped upside the head with a haddock.

He's pretty! 'Ripple' came to mind, but that's kind of a weird name for a snake... Perhaps 'May', (from maize, 'cause he's a corn snake, plus the month of May is autumn where I come from, which relates to his colours), or 'Aubie' because of that pretty auburn colour of the scales near his eye.
This is more thought than went into naming my dog, we just picked his name out of a baby book...
(Incidentally, hi! I watched you a while ago because I've seen some of your stuff on the fursuit LJ community, and am interested in seeing more when it comes up.)

Ohhh he is LOVELY! I've got a Cali kingsnake and a leucistic Texas rat snake - the Cali king is ten years old and absolutely tiny for his age, but according to the vets he's in perfect health and eating well; he's just small.
Good luck with him and I hope you find the perfect name! (Mateo comes to mind.)
