Hood number 14: an orange tiger hood, made entirely out of fake fur and hand-stitched over 10 hours of work. I was pleased when, as a field test, I wore it in the open when the rains hit here, and my head remained dry!

I know, right? ;) I think I have gotten people in my local area to accept me being somewhat fur-endowed, so they would come to expect that. I imagine it would look like the viking vest I made earlier. It is a good, simple design that fits well.

I am not sure when, but I will eventually open up commissions; I am working on a few custom orders right now, including a juvenile size. I prefer to hand-stitch fur versus use the sewing machine: the result is a cleaner, tighter seam without having to pick fur out. The down side is it takes much, much longer to put everything together, but the extra care looks great!

Of all the hoods I have made, I think this one is my favorite. Once I get more wolf-colored fur, I will make another wolf hood. Going back to our previous conversation at the con, I think owls are going to be a unique challenge.
