**just a clean version of the ref sheet!**

This is something I've been working on little by little for oh... about a month or so? I've done a few small doodles between commissions to warm up and such. (obviously, this is a pretty quickly done ref, I messed up one of her markings.. and it was colored with super-cheap colored pencils XD) But I decided about a month ago on what species my alternate fursona would be. (I've tossed the idea of having an alternate fursona around for several months, I just was looking for the species I felt suited me!) So here she is!

This is Chai (like the tea), and she's an African Wild Dog/African Painted Dog :3 It's no secret that I'm fond of these critters, and I've become even moreso as I've become a regular at Brookfield Zoo, where there are a family of Wild Dogs that I make a point of seeing each time I go. :3 I feel that this species suits me, and I feel the same draw to it as I do with wolves. :)

I've made other characters who perhaps share facets of myself, but none I really felt a connection with that I'd want to use them to portray myself in my art. I guess the difference here is, Chai is the only one aside from Tsu who I feel comfortable with portraying with Darren in the same romantic sense as I use Tsu. (By the way, Tsu isn't going anywhere, I'm too attached to the crazy Lisa Frank Sparkle Dog to get rid of her XD ) But I relish the idea of having a more natural-colored fursona, with non-pseudo-japanese name XD I think Chai is a cool name, and I also have a deep love for Chai tea <3 (Though I love coffee, tea, soda... I am an equal opportunity caffeine-hound! )

So if you see more of her, and more of her with Darren, you'll know why! Just another representation of myself :3
