Hahaha. I was spending some time with my little gal. She's getting used to me - today I got licked/kissed for the first time as well as groomed. I had her on my lap in a towel she could bury into and she decided to snuggle up to my hand. Saw her cleaning so figured I'd snap some pictures (she doesn't like my camera or the flash..so I had to time it right).
Annnd..I got a derp opossum! Hahahaha. She is adorable.
She is a short-tailed opossum or brazilian pygmy opossum.
Still haven't found a name yet.

I do hope people don't go so gaga over them as they did for the sugargliders, those seem to have been all the rage for a while. Id be lying if their appeal if I said their appeal did not hit me, I did think of getting a pair but after doing the research on them decided they were not the pet for me. I am happy in just sharing the joy(tho not the work) of my housemates ratty girls. I will stick with my dog, he and I understand each other pretty well.
a regulare wild opposum scared me and all three of my cats the one night lol.
We all heard this weird hisss grumble growl snarl from the tree outside my window. i didnt know what made those noises O.o so i was like.. "Uhmm..someone come help...i think there's a rabid badger in my tree. o.0"
turned out to be a opposum. It kept grumbling and snarling at itself when i slipped a little trying to climb up higher lol, like it was cussing at itself for being clumbsy.
