My oldest niece is a big Homestuck fan and her birthday was coming up, so I was trying to figure out something for here. Then I found this pattern and decided to make her a Scalemate.
The one on the left I made first to get the hang of the pattern. It's made from short fur and is pretty lumpy. The pattern is definitely better for fleece, which is what I used for the one on the right, which went to my niece two weeks ago for her birthday. They were fun to do and I love the size of them; just big enough to be cuddly but nice and portable.
