As much as I don't like people posting non-anthro pics to FA, I'll go ahead and put up a second one that came out rather nicely. Wind farms make great settings. You can see how the bottom edge of the cape is already nicely weathered; as long as it doesn't get *too* much worse I think it adds character. These pics don't do the wind strength justice. Can't see the boots, boo.
Will go into scraps before too long.

The staff was purchased from a dealer I'd seen at several cons; I added some feathers and a streamer to the end. Everything else except the boots (which you can't see here anyway) were custom-made to my design. A couple of different seamstresses have been used so far to get pieces even remotely satisfactory, and I've been considering starting all over again.
I see two issues in calm conditions.
First being that the "loincloth" piece blends into the trousers a little too well; it all looks like a solid mass of draping blue, like a gown. It needs some sort of trim and/or markings to set it apart.
The second being that the cape clasps are not position well to allow the cape to be folded back over the shoulders and stay there while moving about, allowing most of the rest of the outfit to be seen. The cape keeps wanting to hang down in front of the shoulders and obscure the arms. I see this as considerable flaw, and a large part of the reason I'm considering starting over
As an aside, the concept of securing the cape to the vest rather than around the neck worked very well. Through the course of the day it went through some very violent, turbulent situations at wind speeds well over 50mph (I took some video of this I will probably post at some point) and the only issue was an occasional twist just the right way such that one of the clasps would come undone. I'll take a closer look at the clasps tonight to look for any strains or damage, but nothing was obvious by the end of the day.
