When I picked up the sketchbook, I had no clue what to draw. Hmm.. haven't done a male for a while. something fast...lion, no markings. White... I LOVE doing white fur and manes. Something dramatic and sexy... Pictured him reclining. Started with face (not much expression at first) and worked down. OMG! it looks like Adam in the "Creation of Adam" in the Sistine chapel. Googled it and it is very similar but thankfully, he only looks like some rich guy to drunk to sit up and reach the dangly pull-cord to turn off the light ;)

yeah, choices to be made... when I attended my first furry con in 98, I neither had fursona nor nickname. so I browsed the badges laying in wait, and looked through the illustrations. no lion with black mane? why not, I thought, the mane can help me cover problems with head anatomy. :) so it stuck.

The expressions and art of this tell so much - the viewer can interpret this so many ways.....I see a wealthy being that seems to all to have everything, but he tries to drown his sorrow, as all his wealth can not buy him that which he desires the most - love.......

Yes, I did plan on the viewer to interpret it how they wish but you described EXACTLY, word for word, what I had in mind. Thank you!
