Once Shen was out of ear shot, Huan began to fret. She gripped her hair and tugged at the roots, cursing and panicking. Surely he would die if she left him in there! She ate full grown trees and boulders during the seasons she did not take offerings. He would melt! He would be gone gone gone before her next meal!
So the question merely was, did she want him dead, or did she want him live. Huan, the soft hearted Fuu she was, chose live. It was going to be very unladylike, undignified, and disgusting, but she was sure the Otter would rather be alive, then stool.
Plan A it was.
She coughed him up, and washed him in the nearby creek. He stared up at her, a bit on the confused side. Huan used her clawed fingers to get him clean, but he shook like a leaf in her grasp.
She glanced at the large bowl on her table. She tossed out what was left of her meal, put Otter in the bowl, then turned from him.
Thoughts were twirling in his mind. She spit him up just to kill him and digest him properly! She said she didn't like live food, so she would chop him into bits and grill him over the fire like a suckling pig and--!
Warmth cascaded through him. Otter coughed and tried not to drown in her hell broth to find-- it was green tea. Almost hot, it was hot enough to be quite... relaxing. Otter looked up at Huan to see her holding a large tea pot.
She sighed, and looked at him. "Sorry about all that." she rubbed her head. "Had I been thinking clearly, I would have hid you someplace that didn't involve teeth or my digestive track."
She tilted her head and laughed.
Otter leaned on the rim of the bowl. He was mostly clean, so now he just needed to relax.
"It's okay." he said, smiling reassuringly up at Huan. He looked away, face red. "I reather... Enjoyed it."
"....You must be delusional." she said. Her voice sounded closer than before, and not as... resounding. It sounded like it was in one area, and more compact. "Let me wash your back. It's the least I can do to almost killing you."
Otter turned and stared, Huan the fuu dog was now standing next to the giant bowl. She was no taller than him, and looked like a normal dog. Otter stared.
"You can change size?!"
"Only for a little while... Now are you gonna let me wash your back or not?"
