So this is a scene straight from a long-running roleplay I have going on Shangrila MUCK. The story goes that two friends, Darlene and Lynn, were out camping. They're high school outcasts. Darlene a nerdy one, Lynn a goth. Good friends who hate the mainstream high school drama.
Well, out camping, a werewolf attacks and tries to kill Lynn. Darlene drives him off with a slingshot and a silver earring. Then takes Lynn to hospital. Lynn does not remember much of it - she assumes, along with everyone else, that it was a bear. Darlene insists it was a giant wolf. A werewolf, even! But they chalk that up to being so frightened, and it was dark and stop with your stupid fantasies, Darlene.
Even Lynn got sick of it after a while, of listening to Darlene tell her "you're gonna change, you're gonna change, you gotta prepare!" Lynn became more popular, happier, more physically fit rather quickly. Dropping the goth routine, starting to fit in and actually feel good about life. Darlene fought off jealousy and just tried to convince her what was happening. But it reached the point where Lynn and her fought and broke off the friendship, just days before the full moon.
Well, this is the scene of that night, when Lynn changed, went on her first full-moon romp through the forest, killing a deer to feast on, and revelling in the power and freedom she felt. But then, abruptly, realization struck her like a stone. And guilt, so much guilt. She slunk to Darlene's house, and from the edge of the forest beyond the fence, called her outside.
