A side project that i'm working on, also made in the same process as my chimera suit. gonna probably paint the entire thing black then use gold trims in the end though.

basically yes, a thick coat of something with texture and non reflective. Just got to find out what that is.

What did you build the head out of? and why not just fur it?

it's made from aluminium sheet metal fixed to a steel frame.

and you put duct tape over it? that seems like a very temporary end to a pretty permanent frame. Either way I'd be interested in seeing the innards of one of your masks sometime XD

Duct tape has surprising grip if you cover over the right surfaces without any twists or folds in the tape. It's a cheap and much more flexible hold than welding and soldering. Although I would like to one day make a fursuit entirely out of metal.
