Mainly brushed by my fingers and fingernails, or by his mother's tongue. :) Natural grooming is lovely, giving a good massage if you apply the right amount of pressure with the fingertips.

Awww...

this may seem random, but did you ever lie down with your ear to his belly and listen to the sounds his stomach made? I loved hearing the heartbeat of that bull bison, but also was fascinated by all the other noises that went on in there.

Hehe, well... I would sometimes do that, but it is not something I think of doing very often, even if I often lay down and sleep snuggled up against some bovine. But you are right, listening to the sound of internal organs working, and... well, especially heartbeat is something special indeed.

Something I always love doing, is if I am awake while they are asleep, is to watch and observe them as they are dreaming. It always strikes me how similar we all are when we sleep. Okay, some humans don't twitch as much during the dreaming, but some do. Cows and bulls twitch as much while dreaming as dogs do. You see them 'running' in their sleep, making movements with legs and hooves, and then how ears, eyes, nose and muzzle twitch. It's so cute.

I never grow tired of watching someone dream.
