It makes more sense to me that demons are beautiful rather than ugly. And I don't mean the beautiful that becomes ugly when they're about to attack or something.
Evil is known for manipulating, right? And a majority of humans would believe a beautiful face over an ugly one. So why the hell would they be ugly? And it makes no sense that a demon would TURN into a frightening image just before they kill. Scaring someone isn't "evil". I think a demon would find more joy in fucking someone up mentally, so far to the point that when their victim sees beautiful things, that person can no longer enjoy it. Because the beautiful demon did such horrible things to them.
This demon stays handsome throughout whatever evil deed he's bestowing upon his victims' person.

I agree with the analysis of the appearance of devils/demons. MUCH worse if they look desirable than not... and does this mean angels would be unattractive? Makes me recall Isaiah 53:2, which Christians interpret to be speaking of Jesus Christ: "He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him."
