OK, I love to draw cute stuff, but Halloween is coming, and it's spooky time! Here's my tribute to a classic scary film (and the sequels are ignorable), updated a bit with an HDTV-shaped screen. Oh, and Carol Ann wasn't a bunny as far as I recall.
I made the static effect in GIMP but did the rest in Sai. Actually I did this in about an hour total.
[Extra note added 21 Nov 2013: I was clearly thinking of this iconic image, which was on movie posters and newspaper ads at the time Poltergeist came out: This one is from a DVD release of it though. Not bad considering I didn't actually use a reference when drawing it.]

Yay! Thankoo Shido! *hug* This was partly inspired by you and your gory Halloween drawings -- I was thinking of what I could do to make something scary but still not out of character. Then I got this idea as I was trying to fall asleep last night. I was thinking, "Oooh, this is a good idea, but I hope I don't forget it." I was also thinking, "NO stop thinking about that movie right before falling asleep! I don't want to have Poltergeist dreams!"
I was also thinking of the clown doll by the bed, but that's kind of sequential. Also, who gets their kids horrible creepy scary clown dolls? Seriously??! XD

I can't sleep without my two nightlights, a army of plushies and my paci..even then...nightmares sometimes get past the army of plush XD
OH MEH EFFIN GAWD! clowns are like the scaryiest thing in the world!!!! I just watched a movie that had zombies and werewolves in it and the freakest part was the clown XDDDD
people that buy creepy dolls for their kids WANT them to have nightmares XD
