Thank you very much for the visit! Advanced criticism and professional advice are strongly encouraged.
I had recently purchased a scanner for myself, and so I am hoping that it will prove a useful asset in my projects to come. I used my new tool to scan a sketch I made in my work-safe sketchbook, which I largely based on [Cap'n Tsubasa's] floor-slapping avatar, whom I was told by a friend is supposed to be a character from Ranma ½.

The sketch was largely practice for rejected gift ideas for Cap, but still I decided to digitally ink this sketch and see how well it comes out. I'm afraid I am not a very proficient or efficient inker and it is somewhat a curiosity as to how the other illustrators operate so well.
Many thanks again for the visit!

Hmm, well, it's just your typical Strathmore Sketch pad. I should note that the sketch is relatively small and not very close to the edges of the pad, and even still my digital make-up leaves no remnants of the original scan. That was more or less my real concern in getting a scanner, because I knew that whatever I was going to scan was going to get drawn over. I'm sorry if I caused some confusion if I said sketchbook versus sketchpad.
