"The Last Flower" is an animated short I am producing for my graduating portfolio. Featured are two new characters: Garen (whom you can only see a hand of here) and Spencer (the little orange guy). Plot: It is a barren mountainous environment, and Garen has been traveling for a long time searching for something to eat. He happens upon a rare and delicious flower. He hurries over but as soon as he reaches it, the flower disappears as Spencer quickly grabs it first. Angered, Garen confronts the newcomer but their quarrel ends in an unexpected way.
This is a pre-production concept, aka "Style Frame", for what the final animation will look like in terms of finished elements: colors, background, characters, etc. It's the end goal of what my final portfolio project's animated short will look like (hopefully) so I can (hopefully) graduate college in March 2013. Oh man, this is getting serious now <<
Next I'll post both Garen and Spencer's character turnarounds and walk cyles along with some various animation tests. It's production time! Whenever I make significant progress on something, I'll post it to the gallery. I don't want to give away the whole story so I'll leave out some scenes and give you something to look forward to. My portfolio should be bitchin :p
