Smart, observant, and nerd-chic... I always did like Velma...

...well, every version except the newer incarnations where she's romantically linked with Shaggy. Just because they were able to pair up Fred and Daphne and semi-successfully throw some tension in there doesn't mean that they should do the same to Shaggy and Velma. Velma seems less cute when she's constantly at odds with Shaggy, and Shaggy's less funny when he's not focused on any of his three typical concerns: food, avoiding monsters, and his best bud Scooby.

Sorry, Velma, but I think you and Shaggy are better off as just friends... and I think your fans will be happier with your status as "available", too!
