Imagine him with these shoes with a mind of their own like this Porky Pig cartoon.... http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xj.....e-grin-1951_tv ([Starts at 4:57.] He'd be perfect in this cartoon with that expression-imagine! )
...are you bothered by me putting outside vids on your posts, Marquis? Just checking... The poor fellow should feel lucky it's only the shoes that are enchanted...and therefore relatively easy to remove...
A truly sinister soul would simply cast the magic directly on the paws, which makes it far harder to purge...
Or worse...after a time the magic transfers from the shoes into the paws after a certain amount of time...nothing quite strikes horror as believing you've escaped from the enchantment of the shoes...only to watch your paws turn green, pads grow harder, and then begin their emerald jig anew....
Fun Halloween thoughts, they be...

The cruel imp smirked when he watched the wolf massaging his sore toes and paw pads...
"Tis not wise to escape your punishment early, boy-o..." With horrifying speed and without any warning he pulled out a tiny sling and launched a glowing green peasack at his victim's paws...and upon exploding in a fine metallic green powder, the wolf stared, terrified.
"When you free yerself from the wearin' o' th' grin, the grin becomes ye..." The leprechaun smiled wickedly as the wolfoid's paw pads slowly took on a silvery, metallic sheen, and his fur grew glossier and turned the shades finely-polished emerald. The mortal furry glanced, awestruck between the shoes he had finally shucked himself from, and his bare paws...which slid themselves into a position where they began to merrily tap of their own volition, sparkling subtlety. "Ne'r again will ye resist the siren call of the music of aerie, and wher'ever they hear th' music's lure so shall they go...as will ye, fer the grin becomes ye...forev'r n' ev'r..." The imp held up the fiddle looped to his belt and smiled. "Now come 'long, silly boy-o....we've entertaining ta do..."
"NO!!" The young wolfen sprung to his paws and started to sprint away, his now silvery paw-pads tapping with every footfall....until the music of the fiddle reached his ears...."STOP!!" He screeched at his emerald-tinted paws as they began to shuffle and tap toward the fairie's fiddling...completely oblivious to the frantic struggles of their attached body...
Dark Moods and Darker Fairy Tales...figured a follow up was appropriate....
