Here in Parkfield, CA, earthquakes happen so often that nobody pays much attention unless it bangs them around. In fact it's a destination spot because, as the sign says it's considered the earthquake capitol of the world. Parkfield is the most closely observed earthquake zone in the world. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkfield,_California ) I have to say though. I've been there several times and never been so much as shaken, much less stirred. =p

I thought about spending a week or two in that town just to say I experienced and earthquake. But don't have to as of last November. Don't know if you remember that earthquake that hit Oklahoma at that time. But somehow we felt it way up here in Kansas City. I remember I was sitting at my computer and the house shook (almost a light sway) for about 3 seconds. Now this mobile home I live in has moved around due to an 80 mile an hour wind before. But that day it wasn't windy.
Not really. Probably be inconvenienced a bit, but it all depends on where you are when it happens. (and where it breaks loose of course) I might be in Paso or Mexico. If in Paso, I'd probably get shaken good and that's about it, unless the epicenter was close...then ...who knows. In Mx...nada.
