An update to the MancFurs logo designed by Stuart Otterson. Some of you may have noticed the original logo was denoted as v1; we always knew at some point we would be making a new version of the logo.

The original logo had the Manchester city centre skyline and was designed for use on the Twitter account as insisted by former Mini Meet organiser  darkoverord

Since then we created an FA account and many MancFurs residence have included the logo in their profiles to show their pride being a resident and member of the Greater Manchester fur community.

We felt the logo wasn’t up to standards as it was smaller than the max 100 by 100 dimension FA allows, the compression made it blurry and many of the details seen in the full size version was lost in avatar dimensions.

So a new logo was developed for the FA account that would look a little bolder and clearer even at avatar size.

On previous promotional fliers, posters, etc you may have seen the logo have eyes included. Now this version of the logo also includes a nose at the end of the muzzle, to make clearer the logo is a representation of a Manchester Terrier head. It was partly inspired by the cool lion logo used by Paralympic Team GB.

The image makes use of the crease texture by dazzle-textures, a fabric texture by fudgegraphics and some dirt brushes by Apofiss.
