The nose knows, I also heard tapirs have long prehensile tongues, guess its a bonus for her nursing job, well more for the patients :P

I'd actually thought tapirs were some sort of aardvark at first until I bothered looking it up. They're closer to rhinos and horses, and a bit like mini elephants given their prehensile snouts.

Yupyup.... hence my line about "mutant horse/rhino/chalicothere"

Chalicotheres/Chalicotherium is an ancestral tie between rhinos and horses, some even had semi-prehensile claws for stripping bark and eating like pandas.
