Not furry, oh no!
Did my very first still life for a mentorship that I'm doing with Noah Bradley, and I'm proud of it! Partially just because I got to draw sriracha. Anyway, I'll move to scraps later.
Accidentally made the label on the sriracha too big...
(Before you ask...the jar is pepper jelly.)

I hope you dont mind a critique
I Think the soft light in this looks lovely and i also think the way the transparent and reflective parts of this are done are really well handled. That said i find the composition off putting the white backdrop visible at the top of the frame looks displeasing and it draws my eyes away from the subject.
I know nothing about painting but the technique looks really good to me. the composition and styling of this image look a bit off. i also think there might have been a visually stronger perspective perhaps being eyelevel with the subject
feel free to take this with a grain of salt. you do lovely work and i love the collaborations you have done with rukis

Hey there!
I think that would be a great crit, if this was anything other than a study. There was no thought put in to the placement of the items beore I started painting, and I am incapable of painting while laying on my belly, so a lower perspective wasn't possible. The purpose (at least what I thought the purpose was) is to see how light and color actually work intead of approximating it. Though, composition and camera angle are important things to take into consideration when doing illustrations! Thanks!

Fantastic reality.. Although the subject matter would send me screaming to out several packs of toilet rools in the deep freeze.
Chilli and this Wolf do NOT mix well. I sort of turn into the Wicket Wolf of the West (I'm Melting, I'm Melting from the inside out)

Thanks! The info for it is here: http://www.noahbradley.com/blog/mentorship/. So far so good!
I swear this was a photo. I read your description and had to go back and check, I never would have thought it was a painting. My eyes just kind of auto-corrected it to real. Once I knew it was a painting, it was like the whole thing shifted, and I could clearly see it wasn't a photo at all. That was trippy!
You... are a goddess... this is like my absolute lifetime favorite. All three of those I would marry if only I could, they make my life, are part of my daily food, THEY ARE ME... Can I get a poster sized version to put on my wall please? The jelly, the garlic... the sauce. I prefer the red cap over the green, and that is the only difference I would make.
FA does not deserve this. On the other hand you could shape the sriracha tip into a dildo, and add a cheap "too hot for you" or something like that, all good =P
