Black Widow the Pirate Queen-reference sheet
Black Widow (real name Beatrice Nierone) wasn't always known as the buxom queen of Space Pirates that is feared by the corrupt corporates and government officials throughout the Systems. Created in the laboratories of Genotek corporation, she was a member of Grayskins-designation used for artificially created humanoids, referring to the gray pigmentation of their skin. This was used so they could be easily differentiated from natural-born humans, and were considered as slaves, an expendable working force for the rich upper caste of the Republic of Systems. Beatrice was created to be a perfect pleasure model, and for years she served (and suffered abuse from) the CEO of weapons manufacturing company that had close ties with Genotek corporation, largest and most powerful organization in the Republic, which was for years rumored to be actually controlling the government. However, she was bought off by another wealthy businessman, a philantropist and inventor named Andrew Connors. To her surprise, Andrew relinquished her of her slave status and revealed to her his ultimate plan-make the connection between Genotek and government well known to public, organize an uprising and bring down the corrupt system, making everyone equal. With a large number of supporters, it seemed his plan could work, and Beatrice decided to join in, beginning her extensive training and eventually enhanced her body with several cybernetic implants. However, two years later, Andrew was killed in an accident which was revealed to be Genotek corp.'s doing, and Beatrice was forced to flee when the government framed her for his death and accused her of high treason. However, Andrew didn't perish unprepared-he channelled all of his funds to a secret stash which would be at Beatrice's disposal to fund the crusade. Proving herself to be a good leader, Beatrice took command of the resistance movement which performed surprise attacks on the corporation's and military ships. Thanks to her ability to successfully seduce her victims and extract any valuable information out of them before making short work of them, Beatrice became known as Black Widow. Despite her ruthlessness towards the enemies, she's reasonable enough to know when lethal force is required, and makes sure not to get innocents involved in the war. She treats her crew with professional, strict but caring approach, considering them as family of sorts. Seeing how everyone in the resistance-be they artificial, human or alien-live and work together in harmony gives her hope that one day they will achieve their goal.
