Cracker Still Life
Another still life for my second Color Theory class - first time using brushes with oils! Success and failure, but it's all good. ;p

Well true but lighting is KEY as well. Im not sure if gloss was an issue with me but was still a bit tricky.
I'm still learning how to do detailing in longer strokes. I don't know how....do you?
Have you seen some of the masters works? I'm not talking about hundreds of years ago, but more like .... Rare kind. Like noelito, Wyland galleries, Thomas kinkade (although I hear some controversy around him), Christian riese lassen and such. I'm still a little baffled on how they can blend so incredibly well!
I truly need your help on dragon profiling. I need help with the body in a front view. I've tried to work on it and its just not right. I truly need your help. It's the dragon piece I am working on.

Ooh - I'd be okay doing a Livestream with you to see what you really need help with - I get sidetracked often with homework, etc., so I do apologize for constantly forgetting. :\
And also, I'm not sure what you mean by 'detailing in longer strokes' - once I know more about what it is, I can see if I do know how to do it or not. : )

It's fine. Yes I do keep saying that but I thought you were I'll again. But now I realized youre in school. And I KNOW how TOUGH it can be. Let me tell you! Cartooning is a HIGHLY competitive field! Though I'm not so sure about my last message I sent you on FA xD.
I'll be on tomorrow evening or so if that's okay?
Detailing usually uses smaller and finer brushes (depends on size) and having longer paint strokes is what I'm trying to achieve. Basically it's how long the paint can hold a stroke before running out of paint

Painting the inside of my belly, I hope! :-D
(Thanks - it's from a painting of me that I commissioned from Nambroth earlier this year: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8673195/ )
