Hmm... Imagine if Michael Jordan had been traded from the Chicago Bulls to the Detroit Pistons to play alongside Isiah Thomas (Jordan never liked Thomas and it's rumored that he engineered his omission from the 1992 USA Olympic "Dream Team")... I think that would haven been the closest real world equivalent to this scenario. :)
