Week 40 Drawing w Lawrence Marvit. Normal spaces - extreme situation
One of my first ideas was to take a super-person's living space and explore that compartmentalization their lives will probably have. I realized how much symbolism you can toss in, even at thumbnail level. Fun.
Then I made just about every process mistake I could - yesss - so I learned a lot. This is the best pictures I have done, in terms of story, layout, construction and rendering combined.
Lawrence expected a lot of technology in the secret compartment, especially with all the Iron Man stuff I’ve hung around my desk (and we talk comics every time he comes by) so I upgraded Zinnober with boots. Drawing sci fi armour and exploded views is freakin’ fun. I can definitely add more stuff, because the composition can take it.

I'm sorry, it's just that you've seemed so "kris can do nothing wrong" last we talked, and then the "I can't see any mistakes"
Generally, skipping steps. I sketched and constructed the room, then went ahead and started to paint. This is what I would normally do after sketching, but as teach said, making a clear lineart would speed things up - ironically, since I would not waste even a second making a clear line drawing if I did not plan to have lines on the finished product.
I told my teacher after that I was glad to try it, even though he said what mistakes we could make it just proved that you can't learn from other people's mistakes, you gotta make them yourself. I literally told him that and I believe it too.
