That is a fair reason. I wouldn't call what I do show style anymore. Well the proportions are almost the same the shading has been altered to a semi real style.
I fully agree with your reason though and applaud for being willing to critique a price and fallow it up with reasoning. People willing to do this are far to rare.

No, I recognize that. The thing about the picture is that it's kinda crossed into the uncanny valley, that Twilight Zone-esque point between being hyper-detailed and the show's simple style, leaving you with a kind of worst-of-both-worlds problem (and I say that not to imply that it's terrible, just for emphasis).

I have to say, I actually do like the lighting and shading. A touch more real than the show, but not so detailed that it looks creepy. Overall, the scene is very cute and loving. I'd love to see it more from Fluttershy's view, but that's just because I love seeing Pinkie diapered hehe.

Oh no, I just meant to say that sometimes if you shade a cartoon TOO realistic it comes out creepy. Yours is totally fine.
Yeah that's true though about the view, it's fine the way it is really. I'm just trying to say I'd like to see a pic of Pinkie in a crib from top view I guess haha. Maybe I'll have to draw that sometime xD
