Alternate title: I ought to be killed for the awful pun I'm about to make with this guy's name.

Here we have Niko's lab assistant/mental patient, Francois Steiner. Now, Mister Steiner is not someone that anyone could call the sanest of people. Or at least, not with a straight face. But it isn't entirely his fault. Well, kind of anyway.

See, Francois had been working for Niko for a while. One day, he made a mistake when performing an experiment involving large amounts of electricity (I'm sure you all can guess where I'm going with this). Although he survived with minimal injury, the experience left him somewhat addled.

Niko keeps him on because he feels a bit guilty about what happened. He even gave Steiner his own lab in an isolated part of the manor where he can perform his own experiments, although he makes sure to keep his former assistant away from anything too dangerous/capable of feeling pain/understanding the horror of it's situation.
