Last week, Conway broke a ceramic bowl and partially severed the achilles tendon in his right hind leg. It also sliced off a chunk of cartilege from the joint. When it first happened, he couldn't bear any weight on the leg at all, it would immediately collapse underneath him.

My amazing vet was able to suture the tendon back together. We are keeping the leg tightly bandaged to hopefully stabilize the leg and give the tendon a chance to heal up.

Today he is using it, but only off and on. He may never regain normal use of the leg, and we may end up needing to put a brace on it.

Only time will tell.
