And here we have the third version of the Bell geared industrial locomotives. The Tender version. There is actually a fourth version, what was called a "Double Truck" bell loco. Which basically looked liked a wierdified outside framed heisler loco!

I had thought about doing a double truck version, bashing out of one of the new Bachmann HO 44 tonners with side rods. However I'm not sure how I could hid the drive train even with a closed cab design.
Anyway, that's all for the Bell geared locomotive concepts.

And it really wouldn't be too hard. They are quite simple looking machines and about the only moving parts are the wheels and side rods. Also ALL the Bell industrial locomotives burned liquid fuels, mostly oil; but some where known to have burned kerosene and other flammable liquids.
