This one started as a bored study of a roe skull that's always on my monitor. Then it evolved into some sort of emblem.
Left flag is the signature i hide in my works. Right one referes to my year of birth (location: east europe for context). And those behind are the traditional tools i most often use (middle left one is a burnisher/scraper).
All else is open to interpretation.
[Darn. It looks better on black background.]

This looks incredibly close to traditional (assuming this is painter+tablet and not actual traditional work). The bones have a very smooth and dry appearance, I really like how the hands have been posed and, although some fingers are broken up, there are enough fragments to invision their complete form. Can't decide whether this is stunningly eerie, or eerily stunning. x] I'll go with both.
I think a black background would drown a lot of the shapes and details around the skull, but it would help to intensify the areas of lighting.
